Handmade Wardrobe Top Box Storage
Make better use of the space above your wardrobe with a handmade top box for spare bedding, seasonal clothing, storage boxes and less frequently used items. Crafted to order in our Chester workshop by Cheshire Pine & Oak, each piece is finished by hand in a choice of wood, waxed or painted finishes.

All external measurements are maximum sizes and include the top overhangs and protruding base plinth.
The top-box measurements include the standard decorative overhang on the front and sides.
Width Options and Ordering
Select Single Door, Double Door, Triple Door or 4 Door from the Size dropdown. Each top box is made to match the width of the wardrobe purchased from us.
Single wardrobe width guide: up to 51 cm.
Double wardrobe width guide, smaller size: 75 cm.
Double wardrobe width guide, larger size: 95 cm.
Triple wardrobe width guide, smaller size: 130 cm.
Triple wardrobe width guide, larger size: 140 cm.

Choose contemporary Shaker styling with clean, simple lines, or traditional raised-and-fielded styling. We will match the style to which wardrobe it is going on.
Wooden knobs are supplied, painted to match the furniture or finished in contrasting wood. We can fit your own handles if you send them to us; contact us to arrange this before sending them.

Delivery: Customer Installation Required
The top box is supplied separately for safe delivery. You must lift it into position and secure it on top of the wardrobe using the supplied screws. The delivery team does not carry out this installation.
Additional clearance above the completed unit: 2 cm.
Allow this clearance to manoeuvre the top box into place, and check the combined wardrobe and top-box height against your ceiling before ordering.

Light Colours
Pine Stain & Lacquer, White, Off White, Cream, Elephant’s Breath, Dovetale and Worsted.
Dark Colours
Full Hand Waxed, Medium Oak Stain & Lacquer, Dark Oak Stain & Lacquer, Downpipe, Railings, Stiffkey Blue and Hague Blue.
Special Colours
Green #1, Green/Grey #5, Green #16, Green #21, Yellow #1 and Yellow #2. Select Customers own colour choice (any that we do not list in our 15 colours) and enter your required special colour in the Special instructions to seller box.
Colour Match Mix
For custom paint, select Customers own colour choice (any that we do not list in our 15 colours) and enter the paint manufacturer and colour name in the Special instructions to seller box. See our colour matching and handle information.
Ordering Your Finish
For standard paint, select Standard LIGHT colour paint (see colour chart) or Standard DARK colour paint (see colour chart), then enter your chosen shade in the Special instructions to seller box. Other listed choices are Wood Lacquer Finish (Antique Pine), Light Wax and Raw Wood (for DIY finishing at home). Contact us before ordering to confirm the correct option for other stain-and-lacquer or wax finishes.
The groups above describe the wider finish range, so not every finish is individually listed. If your preferred finish is missing, select a listed colour from the correct group and enter the desired replacement colour in the Special instructions to seller box.

Bespoke Sizes and Other Manufacturers’ Wardrobes
We can make a bespoke size for an existing wardrobe from another company where possible, but the price will differ. We cannot change our design to match another manufacturer’s furniture. Contact us before ordering to discuss dimensions and pricing.
The standard height remains 40 cm. Bespoke heights or other size changes cost extra.
