Terms & Conditions of Sale

By placing an order with Cheshire Pine and Oak, you agree to the following terms:

1. Orders & Acceptance

  • All furniture is made to order.

  • We reserve the right to refuse or cancel orders if necessary.

2. Product Description

  • All items are handmade from solid pine.

  • Natural materials may include:

    • Knots

    • Grain variation

    • Colour variation

    • Movement over time

These are natural characteristics, not faults.

3. Dimensions & Measurements

  • All dimensions are EXTERNAL SIZES and approximate. If your EXACT size is crucial please let us know. 

  • It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure items will fit through:

    • Doorways
    • Hallways
    • Staircases

We cannot accept responsibility for access issues on delivery.

4. Manufacturing Times

  • All items are built to order

  • Typical manufacturing time: approx. 21 days

  • Lead times provided are estimates only and due to the volume of orders already in the order book

Delays may occur due to:

  • Material supply

  • High demand

  • Unforeseen circumstances

5. Pricing & Payment

  • All prices are in GBP (£)

  • Delivery charges are not included in the price and must be selected at checkout

  • Full payment is required before delivery is arranged

6. Delivery

  • Delivery is carried out by a specialist 2 person furniture delivery team

  • Delivery is to a ground floor room only - if you require an upstair delivery please contact us first.

  • Deliveries take place Monday–Sunday (no Saturday deliveries)

Missed delivery:

  • A minimum £200 redelivery fee will apply if delivery is missed after you have confirmed you will be home. 

7. Cancellations

As all items are made to order, cancellation rights are limited.

  • Orders may be cancelled within 4 weeks of placing the order

  • After this, materials will have been ordered and labour may already be allocated

8. Returns & Refunds

9. Liability

We are not liable for:

  • Indirect or consequential losses

  • Delays outside our control

  • Natural movement or characteristics of timber

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.


2. Returns & Refunds Policy (Made-to-Order)

Returns & Refunds

At Cheshire Pine and Oak, all furniture is handmade to order, which affects your rights under consumer law.

1. Made-to-Order Items

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, custom-made or personalised items are non-refundable.

This includes:

  • Made-to-order furniture

  • Custom sizes

  • Painted finishes

  • Bespoke items

2. Cancellations

  • Orders can be cancelled within 4 weeks of placing the order

  • After this time, cancellation may not be possible due to raw materials bought or production starting

3. Damaged or Faulty Items

In the event of your item being damaged on delivery or is faulty:

  • You must notify us within 1 hour of delivery

  • Provide photos and details

We will:

  • Repair the item, or

  • Build a new item and replace. where appropriate

4. Natural Characteristics (Not Faults)

The following are not considered faults:

  • Knots in the wood

  • Grain variation

  • Small cracks or movement

  • Colour differences

These are part of solid timber furniture.

5. Clearance Items

  • Sold as seen

  • No refunds, exchanges, or credit notes

  • Collection only

6. Refunds (Where Applicable)

Refunds will only be issued where legally required and will be processed:

  • Within 30 days

  • Via the original payment method
