How to easily secure your 5 Door Combination Unit with or with-out Top Box

How to Secure Your 5-Door Combination Unit with or with-out TOP BOX

1.     Identify the sides:
The TALL 3 door unit (GOES ON THE LEFT) and the LOW 2 door unit (GOES ON THE RIGHT) . These two sit side by side

2.     Join the sides:
Once positioned side by side ( the plinth is in line and the top on the low unit sits neatly next to the tall unit) On the inside of the LOW 2 DOOR UNIT, you will see 7 pre-drilled holes (you can also see where these are by looking on the outside of the —these are where you screw the two units together together. 7 x screws in total

3.     Attach the top box: How to Fit the Top Box

1.    Positioning the Top Box:
Carefully lift the top box and place it securely on top of the 3 Door Unit. It’s best to have two people for this step to ensure stability and prevent any damage to the furniture.

2.    Aligning the Units:
Make sure the top box is perfectly aligned with the base unit — both at the front and sides — the side edges of the carcass marry up with the side edges of the top box carcass with the overhangs protruding at both sides and at the front

3.    Securing in Place:
Once positioned correctly, locate the pre-drilled screw holes UNDER the inside top of the 3 door tall unit (these are already in place for your convenience).
Using a screwdriver, insert the screws through the holes and tighten them securely to fix the top box to the main unit.
Take care not to over-tighten, as this could damage the wood.

4.    Final Check:
After securing, gently check that the top box feels firm and stable, with no movement.

    IMPORTANT - Levelling your unit:

If the unit isn’t sitting straight on your floor, the doors may not align properly. Please ensure the doors align by following these simple steps.....

·       o    Use the supplied wedges to level the unit.

·       o    This is normal, especially on uneven floors such as carpet, tiles, or wood.

·       o    It is easier to wedge the unit than to try to level the floor.

If you have ordered the SHALLOW version we suggest that you attach this to your wall for stability.
